AEC offers a complete range of vacuum pumps, receivers, filters and controls with compact, efficient designs. These products can be used to convey free-flowing pelletized materials, regrind, and dusty or powder materials over short to long distances. Hopper loader and vacuum pumps are the heart of most in-plant conveying systems. AEC’s improvements in motor technology include quieter pumps, more energy efficient motors and easier to maintain designs. Utilize AEC’s skilled engineers to develop a conveying solution that will minimize the degradation of your resin and maximize your conveying throughput.

SELF CONTAINED LOADERS
AEC offers a variety of self-contained loaders. The hopper loaders are ideal for conveying pellet or regrind over short distances. Select from 150-1,000 maximum lbs./hr. throughput and hopper capacities of 3.5-56 lbs. The powder hopper loaders are designated for free-flowing powder materials and dusty regrind. When drawing material from drums, bins, material bags, or gaylords, the compressed air loaders are recommended for efficient filtering of material fines and trouble-free conveying. When moving difficult powdered materials, select the dense phase conveyor to pneumatically convey materials clean and efficient, with minimal degradation and separation.

AVL SERIES COMPRESSED AIR LOADERS
AVL loaders are designed to provide trouble-free conveying using compressed air. These highly efficient, self-contained loaders use compressed air and an efficient venturi to draw material from drums, bins, material bags, or gaylords. The material is drawn through the venturi under vacuum and then conveys into the receiver using pressurized air. The material is separated from the air stream and is deposited into the bin or process machine.

SRL, SLC, SRIL SERIES HOPPER LOADERS
SRL, SLC and SRIL Hopper Loaders are part of the AEC family of self-contained loaders. Because of their integral motor and control, they are ideal for conveying material over short distances. Based on their Stainless Steel construction and filter cleaning system, these hopper loaders are perfect for conveying pellets as well as regrind. SRL and SLC series hopper loaders are perfect for conveying materials to virtually any kind of bin or hopper. By adding a Pyrex sight glass, the SRIL Hopper loaders allow these to be mounted directly to process machines and provides you visual indication of the material entering your process.

An efficient filtering system is used to capture material fines before air is exhausted into the plant. A simple control assembly is easy to operate and makes this loader a good choice for many single loading material conveying applications. RPV SERIES REMOTE PROPORTIONING VALVE
VacTrac™ RPV Remote Proportioning provides reliable proportioning from 0 to 100% of two materials (typically virgin and regrind). A convenient window provides immediate inspection. Quick-release top enables fast, easy cleanout for material changes. 45 degree angled design decreases flex hose wear for less maintenance.

VACUUM PUMPS

Multiple vacuum pumps are offered from AEC with compact, versatile designs to 24-hour continuous operation and automatic cleaning cycles.

APC SERIES
The APC Vacuum Pump is a regenerative style vacuum pump that can be used in most central conveying systems. These pumps can convey free flowing materials to almost anywhere in your plant. In addition, these pumps produce less noise than many other style pumps giving you the strength you need at a sound level your employees will appreciate. APC vacuum pumps are designed for 24 hour use and are among the most compact pumps in the industry. These pumps are ideal for most conveying rates at small to medium conveying distances.

APD SERIES
APD Series Vacuum Pumps allow for the conveying of free-flowing pelletized plastic materials and regrind using vacuum receivers integrated into a central conveying system. APD pumps are designed for 24 hour, continuous operation and are recommended for most conveying applications. AEC is able to provide several types of ultra-compact vacuum power units to suit your conveying needs.

The APD Series uses a high efficiency, positive-displacement vacuum pump and can be utilized to convey pellets and regrind over long distances up to 500 equivalent feet.

APDB vacuum pumps have the same features as the APD but include an exclusive non-reversing air valve system to reverse air flow and clean the pump filter.

AFC-SC SERIES CENTRAL VACUUM SAFETY FILTER
AFC-SC Central Vacuum Cyclonic Pre-Filter is an in line pre-filter that can be placed in any central conveying system. Pre-filters must always be used in conjunction with a central filter. It is designed to extend the life and efficiency of your vacuum pump filter as well as protect the pump from damage.

Through the use of Cyclonic technology, it reduces the amount of dust and fines that can get to your primary pump filter. The centrifugal forces from the intake air cause a spinning motion of the air in the rotor to separate particles from the air stream. The unit is 85% efficient up to 15 microns. All AFC-SC pre-filters come standard with a clear collection chamber to allow plant personnel to easily determine when the filter requires cleaning.

AFC-S SERIES CENTRAL VACUUM SAFETY FILTER
AFC-S Safety Filter is an in-line dust collection filter designed to protect your vacuum conveying pump from damage. This highly efficient filter uses Cyclonic Filtration technology as well as a cartridge filter to ensure the maximum amount of dust and fines are removed from your system. The filter housing is made of stainless steel and cast aluminum for corrosion and abrasion resistance. It also has a clear, transparent collection hopper that allows plant personnel to see if the filter needs to be emptied at glance. The transparent collection hopper is easily removed via quick disconnects and requires no tools.

CONTROLS
AEC offers vacuum conveying controllers that are flexible and customizable to fit plastic processors’ changing needs. AEC conveying controllers support one to 24 pumps and up to 128 loading stations. Simple and versatile in configuration, the conveying controller enhanced graphic displays and touchscreen interface is ideal for today’s operator.

VacTrac® PLUS CONVEYING CONTROL SYSTEM
Vacuum conveying has never been as simple or versatile than with AEC’s VacTrac® Plus Controller.

AEC has succeeded in creating the most flexible and reliable discrete wired conveying controller on the market. The VacTrac® Plus provides ultra-flexible configurations with a seamless upgrade path. The number of pumps and receiver stations is customizable to fit processors’ changing needs. If a plant expands, adding on more lines or reconfigures their operation, they can use the VacTrac® Plus controller without having to purchase a completely new system.

VacTrac® Plus can be upgraded by simply adding the required I/O modules and new software. Installation is made easy with a simple control setup that is swift and intuitive, bringing your system up and running faster than ever.

CONVEYING ACCESSORIES
Obtain reliable proportioning with AEC remote proportioning valves. Distribute 0-100% of two materials, such as virgin and regrind. AEC conveying components include quick ship sequence T valves with a 2-3” OD connection.

AV-SV SERIES AIR-OPERATED SEQUENCE VALVES
Atmospheric Valves and Sequencing Valves are for sequencing vacuum conveying applications. Each unit features heavy duty cast aluminum construction with an air-actuated positive seating plunger. A button indicator on the shaft helps identify malfunctioning solenoids.

One valve is required for each receiver in a vacuum conveying system.

All CPDB blowback pumps use SV style valves.
